Just got gmod need advice

Just brought Gmod and i need advice on what i will need to download in terms of adons, tools, maps, props to get the most out of it.

does any one have any good advice

If you go to garrysmod.org and look at the section on the left that shows the addons that have the most downloads get those, they are really good and most of the people use them.

Ok im sure you know how to spawn props and use tools.
I suggest reading any rules on servers that you go into,
Because ive seen plenty of new people get banned for these reasons.
To where, they accidentally spam ropes.
Didnt know how to delete items and had wheels lying everywhere so the admins freaked out.
Stuff like that,

Oh and to measure how long props are, get measuring stick, I LOVE IT :D
It's very handy when you make hydraulics ropes and stuff like that.

I would Recomend playing 1player mode for a few days to get the hang of it Also, youtube has some good GMOD Tutorials on it For you.

Wire (Expressions, for simple building)
When you get one of the two (Wire, PHX), you'll have a tool called Easy Precision. You'll love that tool.
Also, for making the game realistic, you could download SharpEye, and legs 2.0
Also, on Garrysmod.org search SMP for some decent building models if you happen to want to build a house, or some things for a video.
You really don't have to download the 110 stools pack, it's bad.
Comes with some broken ass mods that are incompatible for the new GMod updates.

Mostly this, there are quite a few good packs worth getting to extend playability.

As for another tip, don't go around with E2's from the E2 thread or with stolen crap you didn't make.
