I can't use tools, guns, and models that i don't have

normaly when you go onto a sever and you don't have a tool or gun you'll still be able to shoot or use it, but with me that all stoped. i can't use tools, guns, or models that i don't have. tools won't show up in the menu, guns don't appear in my inventory, and i don't even get ERROR's for models, they just don't show up. this is a real pain and i want it fixed. please help me

You could try downloading popular addons like phx and wire, that should reduce this.
