I'll start with the unwanted words: DarkRP. Yes this will be a DarkRP server, but I hope we can modify it to a more serious experience.
First I'd like to present some features that I want to add in DarkRP. The server is set in a more futuristic time, but it's here in the near future.
You don't see flying cars, or laser guns just some small improvements to our daily life.
[b]Implants[/b]
Implants are special items that plug directly into the humans head, providing increased abilities to their user.
These abilities have not been concluded yet, but I'm still working on it.
To give you a sense of direction, It'll probably be something like 10% extra accuracy for guns.
[b]Police[/b]
If you're tired of people random arresting & shooting, this will probably not be the problem on this server.
We'll only choose the right people to this job, meaning that you will not be able to join the server and press Police as a job!
Players will have to place a detailed application on our forums. We'll start with admins playing the role as police, since people first need to figure out what the server/story is about.
[b]Story (Unfinished)[/b]
In 2095 scientists worldwide discovers how our brain really works. Very fast the world market explodes with implants, making people nearly half machine. Only a few years later in 2101 Russia, USA and China declares war, fighting for the best technology. The war continues for nearly a decade, smashing not only the worlds economy, but also ruining the whole earth. Now 20 years later in 2130, the world begins to rebuild. Peoples rights are gone, the police is running everything. All around the globe small groups begins to resist and fight for their rights.
This is just a small piece of what I'm working on at the moment. You can see that it reminds a bit about HL2's story. Now you'll probably ask me why I want to use DarkRP, the answer is that running it the right way will probably not destroy the roleplay.
I'm looking for admins, here is my post from my website:
We're currently looking for admins for our roleplaying server. The task as an admin can be a hassle, but also fun. What we're looking for is highly qualified and experienced admins, who also shows respect and understanding. We do require our admins to have a more or less advanced English writing skills, however we do not require them to have English as main language. We do also demand that our admins have a rather large free time, and not just some few lousy hours on the server. Our admins need to be committed to this project, to keep the server alive and fresh. Admins are more than welcome to give constructive criticism, or suggestions. Any kind of misusing power, will probably result in removal of your power if not leading to ban/perm-ban, in case of any harsher misuse of power.
Here's the quick and easily understandable notes:
- Experienced (Have tried to administrate servers, and should know the basic admin commands)
- English grammar (Yes it's required to communicate with people)
- Free time (Some hours a day would be great)
- Commitment (It's YOUR community, do everything for keeping it alive)
- Respectful and understanding (Have respect for the players, don't feel like you're better than everyone)

It's mainly because no one wants to take up a serious RP server, mainly because that there's a high chance of it going absolutely nowhere and that working with roleplay is considered some of the worst stuff you can script.

I'm not trying to let you down or anything, and if you can get someone to do it, great, but there's 2 really big problems at the moment. One of them is you being [i]an ideas guy[/i]. It doesn't really seem like you're doing any coding yourself at the moment (if you have, then it's a good idea to point it out in OP) which means that you're just sitting around with a lot of ideas that needs to be made possible through a coder. No one likes idea guys.
Second thing is, everyone who opens up a new "and amazing" roleplay gamemode all say "I'll give it a chance". Every time. Pretty much all of them have closed down by now, which is most likely going to be the sad story of this too. There's a quick tip revolving around this: "Finish your gamemode before looking for admins or finish as much as you can do before needing help". You've got absolutely no content in the OP, other than stating ideas. I believe most of the coders here would like to actually see some of the concept running before they start coding themself. If you aren't a coder, then doing a relatively big DarkRP modification is probably not for you.
It will be nearly impossible running a "Serious DarkRP" server... sorry. But it's the truth; from what I learned from many DarkRP servers, admins are one of the big problems. I owned a DarkRP server (or I should say, still owning it) and what you need to do is to have VERY good picked admins, reason for that is if you don't have good admins, is to enforce the "serious RP rules".
Another thing that Jackpody pointed out is that yes, you're defiantly being a ideas guy which is a terrible point for the coder. You have a million ideas to be added, that the coder would be stressed out. And you do realize that if you're going to find a good coder that will actually commit to your community, it would be REALLY hard because nowadays coders just want money.
Lastly, if you REALLY want this to come true, then make sure it's unique. From what I also learned people want uniqueness to a server, if there's none at all, then the players will get bored and just leave. Make sure you guys update your server daily to make your players appeal.
This is from what I know, and trust me, these ideas will help you guys out.

Actually when I first started making this thread, I didn't think about having a coder I was thinking "I'll just do it myself". But then I thought I should try recruiting a coder anyways, because it would be easier. Don't worry I don't hold a lot of ideas in my head, what you see is what I need pretty much. I need the implant system, maybe some tweaks here and there, but I wasn't trying to being the idea guy and tell everyone what the fuck to do. I'm not talking about a big modification of DarkRP.
@Greatie About the admins part, as you see I'm only looking for the most qualified and experienced admins I can get. I'll not make a stupid donation admin system, that shit doesn't work in RP. I don't have million ideas, as I wrote it's only small tweaks I need. It'd just be easier if there was a coder available wanting to join.

Some of the biggest communities started from a group of friends who didn't really give a shit about anyone. They get the ideas down and the server up quickly.
Best thing to do is make some friends and let them be admin. I for one don't want to go on some random server to babysit.
