Out of all Garry's Mod gamemodes, this was one of my favorites. People were always working together to make a successful tribe. Does anybody else miss this gamemode?
I Loved it, when it worked.. I think that it can still be saved but needs a lot of work done.
It seems to get a wee bit monotonous after an hour or so. Perhaps some sort of 'random' event system might help it.
I loved this gamemode. I spent months playing and it never got old.
What is stranded?
The problem with it is that trees and rocks for resources very quickly replenished as people built loads of crap and some level 60 people had a skybase built out of metal laughing at the peasants below until the map reset.
If resources depleted less and more people played I would go back.
I liked it when not all servers were 300+ ping european servers where everybody except you was eachothers friend :smith:
Stranded was awesome when it worked.
The latest version that I had played got very repetitive, though. Still, Stranded multiplayer is a nice concept.
I'd like to see Stranded II actually go co-op rather than a gmod gamemode, but one can only dream.

Well now there's minecraft, which I think a lot of people just sort of migrated over to.
I never played it, but it looks like a lot of fun. What happened to it anyway? I remember it was a pretty big deal back then. Was there a RP aspect? It seems like there would be.
I just played it a few hours ago with some friends. Was nice.

That can be solved by RPing, if that's your thing. If you're good at something, become the town chef, or some shit.
Why not play a Korean MMO instead?

Not always, I usually helped other tribes at that level. I would scout out the area as the seagull looking for resources. Sometimes we would have wars against other tribes and I would look at their defenses before we attacked.
I want it back for sure, was a good gamemode.

I've been fixing up a version all bloody month.
(No really. The networking is terrible. Makes my eyes bleed.)
It got old once you reached a certain level and had stockpiles of exactly everything
