Just got GMod, what addons whould I get?

Well, welcome to Gmod :P Anyway, i would download Pheonix Storms 3. It is a model pack with a bunch of models of all sorts. I would also get something like the stacker tool. Sorry, id suggest more, but im on the wrong computer...

uh personaly I would try space build maybe one or two nuke packs but thats oh and a hand rail gun and posibly the aVoN's stargate pack but idk about anything else sorry

Stargate is stupid and pointless, don't waste your time on it.

PHX3 and Wire are must-haves, but make sure you use Tortoise SVN, not gmod.org. Tortoise is a program that (basically) downloads shit from a url that you specify for the folder. It keeps the contents constantly updated.
My friend wrote a nice tutorial, if you're too dense to read directions for the program.

If you like blowing shit up, the nukepack is a particle overload that Singleplayer people seem to enjoy, along with Gbombs.

if u wanna have some fun, get the spartan kick, the hax gun, some nukes and the haha gun all from garrysmod.org, but still get the nessisaries like wire, and phx

It depends on the game mode.
For general build I'd suggest Phx, Wiremod, stacker, no-colide multi and other generally useful construction tools.
If you want Spacebuild, download Spacebuild Enhancement Project (SBEP), Stargate and Gcombat.

I started right off the hop with PHX3, Wire, Stacker. But it's all up to you of what you want.

If you like building contraptions go for PHX3, If you like posing ragdolls then go for all of the model packs.

Welcome to Garry's Mod! I for one prefer mods that can come out with a very awesome... outcome. Such include EngineMod09, PCMod 2 etc. And mods that simply improve the game, like extra vehicles, entities, and such. I have too many mods... =(

I highly recommend getting the Gmod SVN updater. Has lots of neat stuff and it does most of the install work for you.
