Try removing all your stargate files and re-downloading the latest version.

i play gmod on my laptop and it works. And the best svn thing is the gmod wiki. Try making it a sticky if you are a moderator or something so these kids will stop making crap threads and the other vet players dont have to keep pasting the link.

you probably installed it wrong.
Having a laptop wouldn't effect the coding of the Gates, and the coding is what makes them dial, close, etc.

When you install the Pack, it has 4 folders that should be installed like individual addons. Make sure you put each one in addons, and not just one folder containing all of them
Ori Gate really just adds some extra models into the mix.

the only difference between a desktop and a laptop is memory and size. everything else depends on how much you spent on it. i am on a laptop right now but i bought one thats better than any desktop that i know of. so, basically, if you bought a decent laptop, it will work fine. but if you have a tiny cheap laptop, then probably no. but that wouldnt run most stuff anyway...

Except if you want to buy a laptop that is as good as a desktop pc you need to pay 3 times as much.
What difference does the laptop make?
