ok my friend made a server and made me and admin. He told me to go into console and type bind c +ass_menu... it didnt work so i downloaded assmod... it still doesnt work... when i type it in it says "Unkown Command: wire_keyboard_press" ... he also told me 2 try bind x but it does the same thing

His wiremod is bugged/out of date. Tell him to download the latest wiremod using TortoiseSVN: [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=688324[/url]

but his otherfriend can do it...could mine b out of date
You cannot bind C to a key as it is used for the Gmod Context menu. Try binding it to x.
bind "x" "+ASS_Menu" is what I did when I used to use AssMod, I recomend switching to ULX though.

You can bind the GMod context menu to something else.
Yep. But then you have to re-bind the context menu or you can't use it.
