This isn't entirely finished, although the gameplay is fine. I'm releasing this because I can no longer be bothered to work on it. This comes with some maps, I'm assuming the authors are fine with it as they are credited as part of the map itself and made the maps for this purpose. [B]Features[/B] - Two rounds, build and fight (self explanatory) with configurable round length. - Any props can be used, although the script will filter out massive props by itself. - All props are destroyable in fight mode. - Cool turrets, 3 per team by default (configurable) which will shoot enemies. - "Prop protection", which means other people can't fuck with your props. - Can be played on any map (although a lot of stuff won't work). [B]Gameplay[/B] Both teams have cores in their bases (unlimited amount, up to mapper), which must be destroyed by the other team. Maps usually have weapon pickups too. Turrets are randomly given out on the build round to be placed wherever suits the base design best. Props and turrets can only be spawned in a map-defined radius around the core, and when props are taken too far away they'll encounter friction which will fling them back. [B]Weapons[/B] You start with an SMG, a pistol and a gravity gun. - Rifle: Long range, 2-3 shots to kill people, rapid fire (clip of 4). - Rocket shotgun: Artillery style job, can shoot one at a time or four at once, does moderate damage. Rockets explode upon contact. - SMG Grenade: Yellow ball thing, designed for firing into small spaces and blowing up things inside. Explodes after 3 seconds. - Turret placer: Places turrets. Setting this to zero skips it immediately. There are variables in the gamemode's init.lua file which explain themselves. I do not recommend setting the out of radius timer too low or the turrets too high, as these are quite intensive. Drop into your garrysmod/gamemodes folder. Sweet, another fort wars gamemode. I also loved that demolition picture.
This gametype is really fun, but each time I feel like playing a game of fort wars, no one is in the server.

One of the best game modes I've every seen! It's really funny. But can you say me, what entitys I need for a map? For the cores for example.

It has too many features. I'd like the simple FortWars from gmod 9. At least no custom stuff like turrets. Just a simple wood crate spawn gun and a physgun and a startpositiongun. I don't say with this you've done bad works, just that I don't like so many features.

A Gmod9 Remake would be great... Unfortunatly it would be ever so slightly hampered by the fact that you can't 'noclip' a box into others with 'E' rotate. =\ Without that it makes perfectly squared structures very very hard to create. =( Still... The Gmod9 Fortwards was creative limiting at its finest. I eventually discovered the ultimate fort design... I don't know what became of it though.

Very nice, I will run this on my spare server until It finishes it's last month. 20slots should do ok right?
I am having problems...there is a server i want to join and its the only fort wars server i can find it says my entities/laser_ring.init.lua or something like that is different to the one the server uses, what can i do?

if you mean the darkland gamemode, it's not released to the public.
