Wouldn't garrysmod.org see what games you have installed on your computer and through that see what games you might need to see all the textures in a map and such. I don't own CS:S so i am having some huge problems with this, sniper rifles with purple black while zooming, weapons that are purple black, missing materials, errors everywhere basicly. With the new verification thingy maybe the site can show atleast what games you might need if not the games you need for it to work perfectly, for maps mostly. Would this work?
No, just buy the game and use your common sense to determine what you need
awwww, i dont feel like buying a game i don't need, cause i dont wanna play CSS, but i do want to play "flawless" garrysmod
:munch: Haha. This shit is fucking hilarious. Every Pirate/Troll since Tincletown has come out, bitched, and got banned.
awwww, i dont feel like buying a game i don't need, cause i dont wanna play CSS, but i do want to play "flawless" garrysmod
I have CSS and have never played it. I just view it as a very big model/texture pack that you can get for Gmod. :)
Although most addons that require a particular game have which games are required in the description, a lot of people don't read the description and just go OMG I DOWNSLOD NAO I WNAT ADDDDONS :D the whine when it doesn't work. I agree that garrysmod.org needs a little "games required" checkbox option that displays which games are needed at the top of the download page. Actually you could have it work with the verification thing and tell people that certain addons use a game the user doesn't have.
@ joeskylyx: im not saying i don't have Gmod, i just verified my account, steam ID 224264 if im correct, its just that i dont feel like spending 20 euros on a game im not gonne need 'cept for the stuff i get for Gmod @coolcorky: i was thinking if you could see what game you would need to have for EVERY Single addon, not just the big and good ones.
