Does anyone know how to solve this problem? After the upgrade, Garry's mod models from l4d have such bugs. I've heard that you can something to solve this problem myself, but I do not know how.
This has been going on since the beta. I'm surprised that Garry hasn't acknowledged this issue yet.
Looks like I'm not the only one.
I know that this is going on after the beta test. I just heard that this can be fixed by yourself.
They look like human undead at the moment, it's stupid but looks amusing
I'm assuming this a LOD problem because this stops when you set r_rootlod to a higher level or you back away to cause a LOD change [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] also coach's entire torso is gone.
Ok this worked for me. Get a pack of a standalone survivors, either lfd or lfd2. Check to see if they work or not. They did not for me. Missing textures close up and far away etc. This is what I did. I opened the survivor and infected .mdl files in notepad++ and edited all the .mdl files and set the value to 0. Ran the game, and they all worked for me. No missing textures or anything. I even tried that with a custom coach model, it was doing the same thing. Hexed the value to 0, and it ran, right as rain. Since I have no idea where the default survivor models are I couldn't try this on them. And they still don't show up, properly, but the ones I did, did show up. Try it, did it work for you?

In the first line there should be IDST1 change the 1 to Zero. Do this for each model in the pack. ie francis bill Zoey louis or Ellis, Rochelle, Coach or nick. and I just read what I wrote, Sorry I wasn't clear enough for people who don't know what I'm talking about, hell, 3 days ago I didn't know, either, lol. I just learned to hex my first model 3 days ago, lol. ....1337gamer15 can you upload these for the masses? I don't know how to do that efficiently, never done that here before.

I'm noticing the problem has spread to the TF2 Zombies, at least for me.
I'm noticing the problem has spread to the TF2 Zombies, at least for me.
Actually, The TF2 zombies already have their missing parts as misc items. You just need to search something like "zombie" in the Q menu and bone-merge them together.
this is what i get when i try to load up common infected. everything else left 4 dead related pretty much crashes the game for me.
I think the L4D2 infected ragdolls have been like that due to a different shader and process within the version of soruce L4D2 uses.
