im new here and from what ive seen gmod is cool. i have no "steam" or whatever games. please instruct me on what to do to get this

Bear in mind, you need to own at least one other source game for Gmod to work.
I suggest getting the [url=http://store.steampowered.com/sub/219/]Counter Strike: Source & Gmod bundle[/url], as a lot of Gmod custom content uses CS:S resources.
