Hi, I know this might be a stupid question, but I was wondering, how exactly do I make a movie in Garry's Mod? Cause I have seen so many popular movies, and I'd also like to make one myself :). So please if anybody knows how to do this, I'll be happy to hear you out.

Well first you need to find a program to record your game footage. Something like Fraps or the built-in Source Recorder.
Then take your footage into Premier or an editing software of your choice and piece it together like you would a movie. And with that you would do voice overs and such, pretty much anything you would do when editing an actual film.
If you want actual details on how to do all of this, I would just look up certain aspects of what to do on Youtube. Hope this helps!
Thanks A heap mate :-).
You are going to need recording software (Fraps, Bandicam, Source Recorder, etc.), editing software (any video editor should do), sound recording software (Audacity) and Garry's Mod (obviously).
You need to learn the basics of Garry's Mod (if you don't already know).

No problem dude, hope you have fun!
Hey guys, I think it's better to use the Source Recorder and do MaxOfS2D's way with TGAs and seperate WAV audio

Source Recorder can be time-consuming and rather complicated to a new user, and if you have a high-end computer and Fraps or an equivalent gameplay recorder, you can easily record decent if not high FPS footage with near-perfect sound and image quality and throw it straight into a video editing program without needing to combine TGA's and WAV's. Source Recorder also tends to bug out sometimes, and I find that demos work on-off with each update. The quality might be the very best available, but other than that, I can't see why Source Recorder is worth the hassle.
I guess BearsAteMyCat is right, Source Recorder has actually broken a long time ago. Well, the AVI thing did.. it was destroyed because the video file corrupts after going over 2 or 4 GB.
Valve could as well just update Source and remove the Source Recorder completely, it barely works anymore also because it's somewhat buggy/glitchy, nobody really uses it (it's obsolete) and I don't mind its removal
