HOW TO FIX :DDDDDD fix garrys mod by doing this: Open garrys mod, let it crash but DO NOT close the message Start up garrys mod again and it should work.
Stop being a leech. You didn't make this, please give credit to whom made this tutorial. Original tutorial : 1. Just keep reading 2.start gmod through steam 3.wait for hl2.exe error to pop up 4.leave error/white screen up 5. hit start on keyboard 6. open web browser, type steam://rungameid/4000 in address bar 8. close hl2 error
Nice, confirmed.
Yeah. Out of all the times Gmod has come across this problem, this is the weirdest way for me to bypass the error and run Gmod as if nothing happened.
Can also do it like this. No typing. - Start GMod through steam - Wait for hl2.exe error to pop up but don't close it. - Hit Ctrl + ALT + DEL and click Start Task Manager - Start GMod again Thanks for the useful tip.
Yeah ha, finally stumbled across a simple but yet surprisingly working fix.
Somehow I don't have an error, it'll just start up and give me the white loading screen, then a clean crash to desktop.
In your library left-click garrysmod and press properties, in there press ''Set Launch Options'' you must put '' -nolocalcopy '' and press OK/SAVE You're welcome, Intranium
I'll just wait for Garry to actually fix it.
I'll just wait for Garry to actually fix it.
The option in my reply actually works, without any efforts
