Dedicated server problem

hallo there

before i get a massive attack of dumb ratings, please read first.

i have a dedicated server, RP for clear..

oke. now it wont pop-up in the server list and not responding

port forwarded?
27015 to 27015 - both - IP - check
27020 to 27020 - both - IP - check

i go to [url]http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/[/url]

did both of them well, 27015 is open, but 20 is not..

in the DS (dedicated server) screen, i typed in the console:
] sv_lan 0
] heartbeat
] restart

did that, then looked at the server list and yes... not showing

i checked my firewall settings and added both 27015 and 27020

yes, i followed [url]www.portforward.com[/url] thingy. still no

so... and the search of FP is broken

anything needed tell me.

Yea, u need to connect by IP or server list.....IF it says not responding from the server list. Ur servers acting nutty. Restart it, and try again. I have a server and i have ports 27015,27020, and 27005 open. It works fine.

Literally SHUT IT DOWN. And start it up again, tryping restart in console, really doesn't do much.

Thats your lan IP....So give a friend your external IP can get from [url]www.ipchicken.com [/url] can just tpye the external into console connect <ExternalIP> if no, try connect <Externalip> with a . after the last digit.

Start up the game, type teh IP in console. If it fails. Then somethings messed.

No, if u can join from console using ur external IP. Its on the server list, BUT u cant find it because your hosting it.

Please read the lan ip that you stated there.

Look at the port it is using then forward it inplace of 27015.

Don't do this, sv_lan is [b][u][i]ALWAYS[/b][/u][/i] 0 on a dedicated server.

i do connect <IP here from that site> then it joins, thats also the sign that other people can join and its displayed on the server screen?

If you can connect with that command, it should eventually pop-up on the server screen ;)

It's very possible your ISP is blocking the ports required or your router is not capable or forwarding those ports.

so.. do you think THEY are blocking it? or that the router is blocking it?
