I need to reinstall Gmod, but I don't know how I can get in there and start.
The issue is that when ingame, in SP, after... lets say about 10-20 seconds after walking around, my FPS drops like a rock, attempting to stay around 20 FPS. It struggles to get back up to a comfortable level, but something keeps yanking it down to below 20 FPS. Sometimes it just sits at 10 FPS.
This seems to happen at it's worst in Spacebuild maps, and I'm using the default sandbox gamemode.
The reason why I haven't posted this before is because I already knew the answer to it; "Reinstall Gmod". Which goes to this.
The reason why it's so hard to get in it is because I got addons, and files scattered everywhere in my Gmod folders, and I need to know what goes to where, so I can reinstall everything that I need, and remove what I don't need.
I got the following addons;
Adv Duplicator
Altered Cargo Containers
Black Hole Cache

Copy the "Addons" folder and rename it. Place it on your desktop or something so you wont lose it. Reinstall garrysmod (trust me, it will be ok. Don't hyper ventalate), then rename the folder back to "Addons", place it in the garrysmod folder, then plug all the files back in where they need to go.
As for files that arent "Addon" capable, you need to pick them out one by one and put them in a seperate folder or something, then plug them back in when you reinstall gmod. Hard work, but if you really want your downloads backed up, its needed.
If anybody knows a simpler way, ask them. Otherwise, thats the best advice I can give you.
This is the thing. I already have my stuff backupped because I needed to reformat my secondary drive a long time ago.
I thought I could just copy/paste my backup /garrysmod/garrysmod/ folder, to the fresh install of Gmod.
But apparently Gmod says "LOL... no" to that. So I need to know what went where.
What a mess...

Tell me about it! And I got to find a way to cut through it, detangle it, and figure out what works with what.
Rename the garrysmod/garrysmod folder to something like garrysmodold.
Does it for me. Every time.
