Sorry again for wasting anyones time if this something obvious, i ran a ttt server and i try to get my friends the join and one of the lines in the cmd is steam not active -insecure mode, how do i get rid of this? is this why the server isnt joinable?

It's saying that for me on SRCDS. It has never done this to me. Can you help us out?
Which one are you using, Listen (Ie: Using it to let people onto your own created server with no real server going in the background) or Dedicated (Ie: a server that you are running over your computer which let players connect from all over the world)?
