I was wondering. My computer has up to DirectX 11 installed but Gmod only wants to run on 9.
If I were to change it so Gmod runs on DirectX 11 would it infact boost graphics and make it run smoother ect. or would it turn Gmod into a laggy, buggy, crashing peice of shit?
Also, if changing DirectX does benefit Gmod what is the console command to change it?
Garry's Mod runs on the Source Engine which only supports up to DirectX 9.

SOOOUUUUUUUURSE UPDATE! But even if such occurred, it's not as if gmod would be simultaneously updated. It would likely take a few months before Garry could switch the game over to the new version.
