the title says it, hl2.exe doesn't end when I close garrysmod. it does that for gmod, it doesn't do it for HL2 Ep2, so im guessing this is just a garrysmod problem.
If not, please rename it to "a games .exe program doesn't end when I close the game" and move it to the appropriate section
Happens for GMOD and L4D(2).
If you want to end it, just go on task manager and end its process.
That`s what I do.
I just want to stop doing that, sometimes I forget to end it when I go to bed, people think I`m online and ignoring them.

Try disabling the steam game overlay.
