Simply put, the game hurts my eyes wuth the brightness at time, and I wonder if there's a way to adjust it.

Go into Options > Video > Advanced then turn off HDR.

So it's either just not have HDR or not be blinded.
I dont know for sure, but i think that there is just a control for adjusting brightness
Go into console, the default for this should be at level 2 but I make it lower.
Mat_hdr_level 0
That should fix some of your problems
turning on bloom and setting it to default, kills the brightness.
