hl2.exe problem

i got told you cud use GMod on counterstike source but i get hl2.exe problem on startup i cant get to the main menu or anything

i have a similar problem i can get to the menu but when i try to join or play single player i get hl2.exe problem have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling gmod, deleting your gmod folder (back up mods do not install test without the mods), or removing all your mods? hope that helps
