Use Your Imagination, Idiots :D - Garry's Mod

Most people I encounter nowadays in roleplay servers don't really roleplay. In fact, I can break them down into a few groups: Snipers, those who hide in their apartment building and snipe off anyone they feel like, keeping people out of their room with absurd tactics like crawl cages, hydraulics and basic prop blocking. Although these people can be "solved" by extreme admin powers, they are pretty much invincible if an admin is nowhere to be seen. Defenders, those who kill anyone who they feel threatened by. This group is very common in my time as a Garry's Modder. These people feel that they can get away with murder by either killing anyone who hangs around them or their building, killing anyone who looks like a dangerous person of interest, or anyone who could possibly be dangerous. This is not overly bad, but shooting someone because they are knocking on your door is a bit over the top. RDMers, who spend their money on powerful weapons, and decide to take their revenge on society by blowing the shit out of it. They can be highly dangerous to the community, especially those who have an aimbot (which can be easily accessed, no thanks to Garrysmod.org). But if they're a citizen, and there is no administrator on the server, they're basically ruler until someone kills them or arrests them. However, depending on their knowledge of NLR, they might just decide to do it all over again. And a few more I can name: Corrupt cops (Those who randomly arrest someone without a warrant, weapon check, and beat/shoot) Prop Spammers (Those who spawn items in someone else's stores and leave them there) Administrators (Can be immature twats and use their godlike powers for evil. I mean, because you can spawn dumpsters doesn't mean you can kill every fucking person on your server with it.) Prop Pushers (Some servers solved this with basic no-collide, but if you don't have a gun, you can always use a melon) Here's a Protip: Think of what you do in real life. In real life, you can't fly, you don't go around killing people randomly, and you don't prop block stuff.

Really Abacabb? You really should stop advertising. It really does make you and your server look bad. I run a 24/7 Serious RP. We have around 30 regular people, guess what, we only advertised 2 times. Right now we are down. So seriously stop the shitty advertising. Its annoying when you hijack threads just to advert, if your going to post atleast be ontopic. Ok now back to the point. I agree with you nade, most servers I go on are minge infested. I usually band together with anti-rdmers to create RDMer killers. We go around spend our money to pack us with heavy weapons just to kill the Rdmers. We go into gun stores and station ourselves incase a rdmer buys a gun. We work with the cops.

Hooray! On topic-nes! To an extent, you CAN do that sort of thing, but anyone who does usually won't roleplay it, they'll just do it. No explanation, no warning, just action. That's the problem. A paranoid guy with access to weaponry sounds like a potentially good role play.

Best Gmod roleplays are with good friends and without any restrictions by scripts and using sandbox mode so people can build and use what they please to roleplay with. Hell I would love to roleplay while running a railroad system.
