I have a friend who can host, but he only hosts by ip. So i decided to host my own games by ip. I even got Assmod and everything. I give my friends the ip I got from [url]www.ipchicken.com[/url]. It works when Im hosting a Counter-Strike:Source server, but on Gmod as soon as someone's name pops up, I crash.
(Example: [FH][A]SumDude I has joined the game.)
As soon as I see this, my game crashes. Is there like a Garry's Mod dedicated server I need to install?
Too many addons, I suspect.

how do you make a dedicated server? i just go to create multiplayer, and give people my ip
A dedicated server doesn't need steam or Garry's Mod to run. I'd suggest looking for slayers dedicated installer. Google, first link. Can't miss it.
