Hey on garrys mod if i add a light from the light tool it will not light up the map, ive tried ajusting the brightness and everything but it only makes props and stuff lighter. can anybody help?

Is the map you are doing it on completely black in the first place? It seems like it's fullbright-black, seeing as the vehicle is getting lit up by the lightbulb in the second pic.
the map is a night version of flatgrass but its not the map i have this problem on all maps
