I started making a picture to explain what clouds script is, but then I realised it doesn't make sense.

I was thinking of doing something like google does, to help people understand what it is and how to use it.
Anyone got any ideas?
Just tell 'em it does all of the work for you. Should be easy enough.
You could also make a video of every click you perform to download something, and then a picture of just 1 click in-game.
Alternatively, buy Google and let them make it for you.

Yeah it should only cost a few trillion

That's why you need to haggle.
A video would be dumb.
You should move the cloud over to the left a bit and add a picture of a computer on the right, fill the cloud with a few cloudscript icons to represent the content, have a few icons on the computer on the right and some icons flying from the cloudscript to the computer.
Gets across the message that you're getting it all from the cloud instead of the messy way shown in "the old way"
I think a video could actually work rather nicely, as long as it's played the first time you launch the game or something.
(But of course not one as simple as I described it)
Perhaps some in-game popups with "Did you know you can now download add-ons and have them installed automatically from within the game?" could also work.
I would say just move the cloud over, have an arrow from the cloud to a screenshot of a contraption spawned from the cloud

mockup of what i'm thinking
This is getting so awesome in a short time, but now the one question:
Will there be Multiplayer support?

The bottom should have a picture of the cloud button in the UI, and the weapons page and then what it looks like after, showing the weapon spawned in-game.

he isn't using the cloud button anymore from what I understand, if you're talking about the button in the top right at least

This one above me is awesome. I think that an Apple-style flash video (I mean truly simple) would be great.
i knew it wouldn't be long before stinkyjoe came along, love it
I think the best way to describe it is "An app store within gmod" but I like stinkyjoe's.
I think stinkyjoe's one is awesome. It's simple and doesn't require too much thinking to understand.
Stinkyjoe should be hired as Facepunch's lead artist.
I updated StinkyJoe's.

I find that GModCloud looks so much better on paper than cloudscript.

Could just be the font and colors.
I should make a sketch at school and scan it when I get home. Honestly, I draw better on paper.
My version:

So pretty much you just click on what mod you want and it installs for you?

Have you not tried toybox yet?
So, not meaning to be a pleb, but I've never heard of cloudscript before.
So, Basically... things you click on are downloaded to your addons folder and you are then able to use it when ever you like, online or offline blah blah
Or can you just use anything from the 'cloud' (as if it was one huge shared addons folder with spawnable stuff)?

I saw something a week or two about it but no I haven't actually used it yet

You browse online SWEPs from the spawn menu with a button on the weapons tab. Click on what you want and it downloads everything for you and gives you the weapon.
It's garrysmod.org inside garrysmod. Except you don't need to exit GMod to download addons.
It's more like a online Adv dupe page.
A very awesome one
Why not make a quick video showing the differences between the two and then putting it in the neglected "tutorials" section of the main menu?
