Gary's Mod Mac crashes right before it starts..

Right as it starts up you get the splash screen for a while.. then you get an error that one of the translation files it hosed.. then I get 'hl2' has crashed..

Is this a common issue?

(I'm on a 2009 MacMini, 4GB RAM and 320 HD)

As far as I know, no it isn't a common issue. Try defragging the game cache.
