Alrighty then, I'm at my wit's end with this thing.
Ok, every time I try to join a GMod server, the message in the title will pop up after the Retrieving Server Info stage of loading the server is done. Because of this, I can't join a single GMod server.
I can play GMod in single player, I just can't connect to servers because of these timeouts.
All servers for all other games work fine. I can connect to CS:S and TF2 servers without any problems.
Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 @ 2.2 GHz clock speed
ATi Radeon HD 2400 XT w/ 512 MB dediram (That's what CCC told me)
1.25 GB RAM
Internet Connection:

Mount Pleasant to Traverse City is about ~ 100 miles (closest server :L)
