Hi,
I try to go in this server and I download like 600 files...After the long
wait I finally get this message:
Missing map maps/rp_c18_v1.bsp, disconnecting
So then I downloaded that map from garysmod.org. I put it in the folder:
Steam/steamapps/(email or username)/garysmod/garysmod/maps
And it still doesn't work <_<
This is the error report:

Maybe the map is not the same? Like the server altered the .bsp file somehow. I'm pretty sure though, that it would have gave you a different message. Try also contacting the server admin or owner.
Well...I'm pretty sure it's the same! I reinsalled gary's mod with no success...

When I stick rp_c18 into garrysmod.org there is 2 different downloads. I would download the one uploaded by "Suicide Bomber".
You may also want to try to find another server with this map and test if you can join them or not.
I had this same problem, I'm guessing that the version you downloaded is slightly different from the servers version.
The missing maps error is only caused by you having a different version of the map than the server. Double check, then triple check, then check some more that you have the same map.
I has to be a different version. Maybe contact the admin of the server to give you the same version of the map.
Why DOES it check if you have the map after you spend five minutes downloading files anyway?
In an ideal program it would check first and save you the time.
