Hey, I'm new on the forums and I'm only here because I was thinking about getting Garry's mod. Does it work on windows 7 x64 bit ultimate? And how often do the errors happen and do I have to get all the required games to get the full features e.g objects, weapons? Pls reply, thanks.

2. Depends on client and server addons, as well as computer specs.
3. If you don't have all the required games, you'll see checkered patterns and red flashing errors.
So what are the main games I'll need to get?

This, most maps require CS:S stuff.

If not a little overkill.
Buy the GMod+CS:S package, then if you are so inclined, go out and buy a boxed copy of the Orange Box, it tends to be cheaper.
At least get EP2 if you want to see trees and such for outdoorsy maps.

You need the orange box. That might work.
