I have a red error text at the top of my screen that says error whenever I have a normal gun equiped. If it is a custom server gun, it works. I have been told that this is lack of textures, but I own HL2 EP2 and CSS and have them both downloaded. BTW, I am on a iMac

Yes they are, and all my purchases are legit.
Exact same thing happened to me once
CSS content failed to mount after my iMac crashed for the first time in a year.
I later figured out I forgot to verify the cache; that should solve the problem I think
I have verified both and then played gmod within 5 minutes, it still doesn't work. I had other texture problems, and then I verified them both, and it fixed everything but the guns.
Hmm, that's strange; the guns should work regardless of if you have CSS models or not
since they use the low-quality textures for CSS weapons and other content if you're using SWEPs or playermodels/other content that requires it
update your CS:S guns have never worked for me without it installed. if you don't have CS:S, sucks to love RP servers.
I have CS:S, and have played it, look at the posts before.
