• UK Good upload - ISP

Hai what ISP offers the biggest upload in the UK e.g. is there a business ISP available that perhaps costs a lot but is available to residential homes? Just I am getting pretty pissed with UK Game who can't change the game type because they dont know how and make up a load of excuses. My group did have a dedicated before but they cost a lot and the machines suck really badly for the cost. However I have a spare quadcore and I would love to home-host a server + I have a dedicated server panel I made thats similar to tca - so thats all covered. Just its bandwidth and I am currently with Virginmedia and my upload is the max which is...1.6megabits up - which sucks espcially since I have 50 megabits down (well 49.8) :@ Therefore I am willing to go to a different ISP who have a better upload, thanks :D tl;dr: ISP in the UK with the biggest upload available to residential homes, price not a factor.
Be is supposed to be good. Apparently you can sacrifice some of your download speed and have it put towards upload speed.
The issue is, correct me if I am wrong, it uses ADSL and I'm not near an exchange for example my download with BT would be 3mbits with an upgrade to 4mbits next year...which is a joke lawl. I wouldnt expect the speeds on Be to be good and even then, I would like to host 3 servers - which isnt possible with Garrysmod (say each server had 12 slots) on a 2.5mbps line. I did try really hard earlier to even look for business internet, since a 10mbps upload would be more than enough for 3x12 slot servers. However it appears that broadband in the UK really does suck balls, I hate this country. Thanks for replying though :D
You could probably rent 3 12 slot gameservers for the price of a business line.
Lawl I have six servers nao, however I would make the sacrifice of going to three if it mean't I could control and host from home. It would be seriously good, I could do so much moar so faster. I made a panel for when my group had a dedicated and basically it got all the svns every server required, downloaded them once and then if say two servers wanted PHX3 - it would copy the updated PHX3 to them - it saves hella bandwidth and its quicker to update. I made it fully automated and it worked really well after I fixed one or two bugs, like we didn't have to update PHX3, SG, Wire, Wire Extras and all the other SVNs plus it would update four times a day! JUst the dedicated costed around £50 a month and we could only host two servers lawl...barely. But yeah I have plenty of hardware on my network plus redundencies such as backup drives, UPS, I have spare switches and routers - it's all covered. It would just make things run hella smoother compared to being at some company like UKGame where you have no control hardly other than uploading files and changing maps... I did try once an automated-svn over FTP however it was really buggy and I decided not to continue with the project; LOL I even once made a rebooter program for TCA and it worked well however sometimes the servers wouldnt reply as being up (not sure why) and then a server full of players would be rebooted - scrapped that too. I hope like in five years we can have like 10mb upload, but by then games will require moar lawl. But yeah to home host would be hella better mainly foar: > Redundencies > Full automation - of rebooting and svns > Speed - things can be done hella faster e.g. fixing a server etc > Easier website intergration/merging etc > Backups are hella easier But yeah...there appears to be no business lines that go higher than 2mb or so...you would think after 40 years of the internets that we would have high speed networks by nao lawl.
