Recently one of my downloads apparently made it so when I light anything on fire I cannot see the fire. I can hear it and still get hurt by it but I seem to be missing the file for the visual... Could someone help?

Try reinstalling, it usually fixes problems. If it doesnt, mabye try deleting all the player made content?

If it was particle related, his Intel 945 VGA chip (If he has it[Also if he has Orange box purchased]) would of crashed it by now.

-dxlevel 80
sv_cheats 1 (Only in Single or your own Multiplayer game, if you have access to admin rights with Cvar commands), Then type in r_drawparticles 1
-autoconfig
Try those "-" in the Advance launch options. No profit?? Reinstall or upgrade my friend.
