It seems it doesn't work. I've set up plenty of servers, and this is just giving me some trouble. Is it because the 'bridged' connection between the two?
First: Wat doesn't work ?
Secondly: if using vmware there are several options for example to connect the Virtual machine directly to the network getting his own ip so you can forward ports correctly. If you cant/dont-want-to do that you have to make some kind of proxy. Cus the connection goes like this.
Internet -> Router -> Computer -> Virtual machine
Other then this i think a modern virtual machine should be able to reserve a port itselft
