So i get on servers like zombie survival, or darkrp. But instead of custom huds and effects, I get a hl2 hud, I can't pick a weapon from my weapon select, some servers wont even show the F1(help) menus, and all the effects/lua are all hl2 effects.
Things that might of caused it:
1. I was a idiot and didn't read the readme for the gmod tower updater and it messed up coding for gmod tower.
2. Some lua virus blocking things to enable effects.
3. Or I am going to feel like a idiot, and someone is going to tell me something easy to do.:/
And yes i looked up on Google before someone gives me that answer.

maybe scriptenfocers is blocking all your Gmod lua things, this happens sometimes try to press the delete key on your keyboard on your GMod folder ^^
then start it up again so you got an clean Gmod
Delete your garrysmod folder, start fresh.
You'll lose all your custom materials, models and addons though.
I'd trust Kevin Mcallister.
