• GMOD on mac

hello. i have a friend who really wants to get gmod on his mac. i dont have a mac so i dont know much about bootcamp. Are there any mac users out there playing gmod through bootcamp or a similar program? if so how stable is it?
Your friend has 3 options: 1. Boot Camp will work if he has a copy of Windows. It's just like dual-booting Linux and Windows on a PC, only it's Mac and Windows. Windows has normal access to all the hardware with Boot Camp, so it will run fine. 2. If he does not have a copy of Windows, another option would be to use CrossOver which lets you run Windows programs under Mac. The Games edition even has decent support for Steam and Source-based games. This option still is not free, but is much cheaper than buying a full copy of Windows. (There IS Wine for Mac, but that never really worked well for me. And yes, I DO know that CrossOver is just commercial Wine.) 3. The last option would be to use a virtual machine like Parallels 5 or VMWare Fusion 3, but I don't have much experience with those and I don't really know how well it will run in them. It also requires a copy of Windows. My opinion would be to use CrossOver. (Option 2)
thank you very much :)
