Garrys Mod wont download things from the steam workshop.

My garysmod will not download anything from the steam workshop. I had things that I had downloaded before but when I went to the addons it said "Nothing is here". I then tried deleting all of my addons in the Gmod folder and unsubscribing from all my items in the steam workshop. When I tried subscribing so they would redownload the items would not download. I have no Idea what is wrong and could really use some help.
