Which should I run my server off of?

I'm planning on running a server for me and a few friends so we can play at times. I have two options to run my 10-man server off of:

Laptop with 2gb RAM/2.0ghz Single Processor

or

Desktop with 3gb RAM/3.2ghz Dual Core Processor (Which I will play and host simultaneously on)

This is all running on an internet connection with:

16 mb/s Download Rate
2.09 mb/s Upload Rate

So which will be the better choice? Use the laptop and make it a dedicated server or use my desktop as a server but play on it as well. Thanks for the help!

Laptop because it's not really good for a person whos playing while having their server on at the same computer.

It would porobably work fine on either, the desktop is beefy enough to run a single srcds server (which has a minimum memory footprint of about 120mb and could take up to 100% of its core). You might run into problems with the desktop/both if you're doing lots of crazy physics or something, but it shouldn't be that bad.
