• Wiremod makes maps all black

Okay so I've been having this problem for a while now and everything I've tried isn't working. When using gmod after a fresh install, everything is fine. I even added Pheonix-Storms 3 and a couple other addons, all is well. As soon as I install wiremodSVN (most up to date from garrysmod.org OR wiremod.com) my maps turn all black. gm_flatgrass is the only one that works. gm_construct as well as other various maps that I've downloaded load up with most of the textures obscured. If I turn my flashlight on and get really close, I can start to see the texture with color and everything but I don't want to put lamps all over the place. My graphics card is a standard, on-board graphics card that sucks but it's up to date and with everything turned down, I can run the game pretty seamlessly until I install wiremod. I have tried getting wiremod from multiple locations, I've reinstalled gmod I don't know how many times, even making sure to delete EVERYTHING before installing. I don't know what to do. Please help! Also, text does not show up (health, q menu, messages from friends on Steam). I found that when I minimize and maximize gmod, it resets everythign the way it's supposed to be, except all map textures are black instead of just some of them (except sky box). This happens on all maps, inlcuding gm_flatgrass even before I had wiremod. I noticed this when I would try to watch a tutorial vid outside of gmod. When I alt+tabbed the textures would come up black except for new stuff I spawned and the sky. Is there a way to make it so everything shows up when I min/max because that seemed to fix the texture issue that arose when using wiremod?
Try using an SVN version. Not any idea.

Is your problem anything like this? http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=839864
Is your problem anything like this? http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=839864
Yes, it's almost the exact same thing you're having except that I don't get the issue when loading up the game, only when I try to play maps like construct or other downloaded ones. I did copy gg_texture_city from my CS:S maps into gmod and it ran it pretty seemlessly, even though it was kind of large. There was a big black box in the sky but other than that it was okay. I think the problem is graphics, even though it only occurs when I have wiremod. It would seem that I just have to play on smaller/simpler maps (i.e. texture city, flatgrass, etc.). If you know how and if you have the tools, you can use Source SDK (downloaded through the Steam "Tools" section) to create small maps and then copy and paste the .bsp's into your garrysmod/garrysmod/maps folder. It's also a lot easier than using wiremod for some stuff. I'm going to make a base or something in SDK and wire it in gmod. That doesn't solve the graphics issue, but it gives you something to do if you can't get a new graphics card. Anywho, nope, even if the only addon I have is wiremod, it still does it. Someone mentioned in another post that it was a combination of garrysmod graphics and wiremod stuff working in the background that basicaly "raped" my graphics card. It can't handle all that at once, which isn't suprising really. This computer sucks. [Example: I was making a time-bomb firework with welded cans and color trails. At first, like a n00b, I did about 49 trail cans. Gmod crashed when it detonated. So then I tried to lighten the load, down to 9 cans. IT STILL CRASHED!!! Basicaly, the only firework I can handle is about 2 cans. Maaaaybe 3.] X[ I need a new computer...
