• Trouble Importing/Exporting models

Hello, So I was thinking about making a model pack, what genre doesn't matter right now but anyway before asking questions I thought of figuring out how to make models and get them into Gmod my self. now I got this site with tools by Cannonfodder which contains tools to import smd's and export them So this is what I did, I got the MdlDecompiler and Gcfscape first I get a model from any game (just to test it) and saved it at my desktop then I wanted to use the MdlDecompiler but here is where the problem comes, When I start mdldecompiler I get this error saying : "Cannot find entrypoint of procedure Q_AppendSlash in DLL-file vstdlib.dll" now I translated it from dutch to English so not sure if its right but I am sure that I installed it right -> "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\stefanc481\sourcesdk\bin" and the vstdlib.dll file is there but I guess its broken or something. also the StudioCompiler gives me the same error although that is for something else. At the site they already tell you that if u get a .dll error that u have to download a dll file (they give u this link) but my dll error is totally different then the one they have so I already got confused there. now the site where I can get the smd importer for 3ds max is kinda outdated as in its for 3ds max 7 and my version is 2010 now I wonder if anyone know how to fix this and if there is some up-to-date tutorial for getting models into hl2 /garrysmod and out of hl2/garrysmod, of course there are those I found but they are from 5 years ago and the tools that come with it are outdated. Oh btw, I also searched through the forums for some tutorial about modeling for hl2 but I could find it, I am either blind or didn't search enough cause I doubt there isn't any tutorial about it here...
Mmh this is the fp forum where all the addons etc come so I am pretty sure that there are enough people here that know how to do it although after god knows how much time now no1 replied ?
