im thinking baout getting gmod but im unsure what to get with it counterstrike or TF2?
and on top of that...

When you say old, how old are we talking? If it's a little more powerful I would recommend TF2 because it gets updated more often, but they're both fantastic games.

Get it with CSS. The problem with getting the orangebox / TF2 is that most content in Garrysmod uses CSS content and thus you'll see plenty of ERROR models / purple/black checkerboards until you buy the game.
Gmod / CSS pack is the way to go.
post your comp specs so we can see what would be best for your comp, you dont want to buy a game and realise you get 4 fps on tf2 :buddy:
Get the CSS + GMod Combo, it comes with more essentials like Models and Textures.

No. It requires one Source game to run, because it doesn't come with the Engine.
You COULD get HL2:DM for free from that offer, that way you could just buy gmod.

Actually, you need to own the Source SDK, which will only come with purchasing a game, free offers won't work.
