The game is amazing in every way, the only thing that is bugging me about it is, why is my computer not using all my cores?
If I try to build a GIANT building or something, I lose frames but my CPU is not even trying nor my graphics card.
- Is their any answer to this, or does it not just support multi cores?

try searching google about this issue... there has not been multi-core support for a long time
I remember hearing Garry trying to put multi-core support in GMod, but it would screw the whole engine up.
I have searched on google, a lot actually. But when I end up finding something it's just a bunch of people asking about it or making the game more un-stable then it is.

Uh, no? He didn't add multicore support because he felt that it wasn't beneficial enough (probably).
Garry removed it in GMod 13 because it occasionally caused crashes, so far he's refused all requests to allow us to re-enable it.
It's not coming back.

Was that only GPU though? I'm not sure if the source engine uses it for CPU tasks at all.
Anyone know why multicore crashes in gmod yet works fine in other source games?
Is it because of something that was added in gmod 13, e.g. Awesomium?
This was probably the last post he made regarding multi-core rendering

I don't get multicore crashes and i have it on.

Even if you turn it on in the options it does nothing.

It's because of Lua - iirc garry redid a lot of the internal Lua stuff in GMod 13 and he said he didn't want to make it thread safe.

Here's the official word from garry on it:

Turn multi threading on in your gpu panel :P I get big noticable diffrences / 80fps off 280 on
also i never have crashed with this option on.
BUt loading does take longer
