HZ PERP, lawyer, Dafuq ? - Garry's Mod

So Hai. I have no idéa about this. But Killslick the HZ owner. He says that PERP is illegal. So my question is. Is that true? Everytime i join hes TS server hes always telling me, Your government will arrest you for leaking a gamemode. Then today when i went to hes TeamSpeak he says, You've hacked alot of sites and stuff. My question is. Do that guy have any problem or anything? Is this even true that I can get arrested for leaking a shitty gamemode? I leaked it for 3 months ago and hes still telling me " I've got people that got eyes on you " - Well fuck you and your people. So my main question is... Can I get arrested for leaking that gamemode. Thats all I want to know. Because that guy is going crazy.

Oh wow. He seems super serious about PERP. Someone needs to tell him that it is too late for this stuff to happen. Gamemode is EVERYWHERE...

As far as I know, many many MANY people have given many many many reasons why it isn't illegal to host/leak PERP. His are just empty threats, do not lose any sleep over it.

Well I was looking on the pulsareffect website and they seems to be serious about this... It seems servers are going down one by one. There used to be so many diffrent servers in the list :S

This whole situation with PERP bullshit reminds me of North Korea... Always threatening never doing. I've not seen any slowdown in alternative PERP with the exception of the "official perp server" which gets less and less people if any at all.

It's just that in the end they get more perp players. That is all.

Last time I spoke to Killslick he made a complete idiot out of himself. Told me he hosted Hellzone from his house ect ect, could of been trolling but yeah, ignore what he says.

Not another one of these threads :suicide: But Killslick says he owns the copyright to PERP, but he's been asked multiple times to prove it and he can't. So nobody knows at the moment, but honestly, it seems he's pulling a lot of this out of his ass. Either way, if someone puts up a PERP server without paying him or HZ clan, he sends them a copyright notice. If they don't comply, he takes matters into his own hands and DDOSes the server.

Plus to have any real documentation wouldn't you need to register it first? Meaning you would get a copyright registration number, which is designed to be given out as proof. Claiming "omgawds I legalised dis shit" and never offering any proof is just digging yourself into an endless hole. Now, I'm not argueing that you didn't pay fair and square to the creator / morally correct owner of the content. I'm just saying that chances are it's not legally binding and that you're an idiot if you think it's a legally binding contract in any form.
