Well.. I just join a server and Gmod freezes and then it crashes (You know, the hl2.exe error with tons of numbers...).
My PC Specs:
-Windows XP (uE) Service Pack 2
-Intel Pentium 4 (2.40 GHz)
-1,5 GB RAM
-120 GB Hard Disk
-ATI Radeon 9600 series 128 MB
Before I cleaned up My Gmod this didn't happen, since a month ago I had problems with Gmod server connections and crashes (Specially after the 72nd update)

I think this is affecting everyone; Do you think this could be caused by an update to a game?

Some guy say`s you have to right klick on gmod/local files
Defragment cache files or something like that.
my gmod is still working. i think u must reinstal the game.

I have the same thing, now reinstaling gmod. Hope it works.
