Well, yeah, my computer used to run garrysmod like nothing else before, but now it is constantly progressing to hell...
At first, i would start garrysmod up, and i would wait a bit for the slow to go away, and while you try to go in the period of slowness, it would do soundloops, and it would go slowly frame by frame, but it would disperce after a while.
But now it is horrible, it starts out in the slow, and never gets faster...
I dont know why... I have tried changing the DX level, and i even uninstalled some mods, but it absolutely WILL not go as it used to, someone please help????

Is it just Garry's Mod or are any other Source games doing it? I have an interesting lag problem in every single Source game.

Still horribly slow

Also, the problem isnt on any servers, it is when i start GMod up, on the menu frame it goes so horribly slow, then it carries onto the servers.

ALso, when i click one of the menu options, it just keeps looping the beeping...

It fades after about thirty seconds...

Post your specs of your machine.
You can try defragging your gmod by going into the Steam games list, right click on gmod and select properties then goto the local files tab and click on view integrity of game cache and defragment cache files.
