so i joined hl2rp and just a few minutes after playing

I was playing TTT and killed a group of 7 people using 7 bullets in a deagle, then banned 10 seconds later for "aimbot".
No Reason.
I get banned all the time for correcting people on their stupid made up myths about source. I still see people get kicked for high pings with claims made that they lag the server. :downs:

This annoys me quite a lot too, glad to see I'm not the only one!
I get banned quite often, usually for disagreeing with an admin. You try to tell them why you disagree, and all they can do is ban you for being "a minge" or "rude".

I also get banned a lot for rules that are "implied". For instance, some DarkRP servers require you to type "/advert raid" into chat prior to breaking into someone's house. Usually this is not specified in the rules, and whenever I bring that up: "IDK BRO THEY R THERE *ban*"
I was perma'ed for speed hack. What really happened was someone was prop pushing and hit me.... I go flying past an admin and he brings me to him, mutes me, freezes me, and after making me hear his squeaker voice for what felt like three days.... He perma'ed me.

Oh, I forgot the time where I shot a traitor in TTT because I watched him kill a guy. The admin got pissed, I started to explain my reasons.. he gimps me.
Next round, he continues to ask me to elaborate why I shot him and says that if I don't say why he'd ban me. Idiot forgot he gimped me :v:

It is, but the admin claimed I had no proof to shoot him (Even though I watched him shoot a person) and gimped me when I tried to tell him what reasons I had.

Here's a fun story,
On a DarkRP server I decided I was going to join the rather small police force(three officers in some sixty-four slot server), and while walking down the street I realized my teammates were about to raid someones house. Slightly excited I went over and joined the raid in progress. After we had gotten the warrant we started a prop down with our battering ram, and surprise, surprise, the building was made to make it impossible for the government to raid the building.
So naturally we had to find a way to get in, and someone suggested using an exploit with the gravity gun which made it so grabbing props would made them nocollided to everything. We used the exploit, and got about one door into the building, and the last guy in our raiding group ended up going, "LOL CONFEDERACY" and killed us. Turns out he was a friend of the contrafarmer.
Somewhat frustrated, but shaking it off, I went back to the PD and the guy decided to walk up and act like we were new officers, "Hai guis I'm your leader" our actual PD Chief said, "Go fuck yourself" and promptly put him into a jail cell. His friends[the contrafarmers] started complaining over OOC that we didn't have a reason to arrest him and stated they would start killing us if we didn't release him.
We didn't listen, and they attempted to raid us. We ended up killing every one of them without suffering any casualties. Guess what they said over OOC... "YOUR BASE IS UNRAIDABLE ; _ ;"
Oh, okay.
We waited for a few minutes, and we heard that they were killing players outside their building so we said screw it, and went back to their base. Before this, we rearrested the "confederate cop" and went back to their building, and got ready to raid. After getting the warrant we busted into the building, captured all of their guys, destroyed everything they owned, and- Holy shit are they cybering with some kid?
Yup, turns out they kept some twelve year old kid in a room, made the poor bastard almost ball his eyes out, and pretended to use /me's to have sexual intercourse with them. Neither of us wasted any chance of complaining about this to the admins and the admin who was on at the time fucking flipped shit.
Turns out the kid they had cyber raped was actually someone the admin knew from real life, and the admin was out for fucking blood at this point. He ended up banning two of the pedos, and when the other two were released from prison gave them a very, very fine warning.
It was something on the lines of, "If I so much as fucking hear of you attempting to have any sexual-intent with users on this server, I will have every last one of you reported to your local police departments for sexual harassment to a minor"
The pedos(or contrafarmers) remained quiet for about two hours, but after the admin left they decided they were going to strike revenge against us for getting their friends banned, and the best way they could do this was by killing yours truly, over and over again in spawn. After the PD Chief managed to kill them, I ended up doing the exact same thing to them over, and over again until one of them left and the other one ended up speedhacking away.
Oh boy! Speedhackers! After about thirty minutes of pure us shoot at him, and him shoot at us, an new admin entered the server only to see me chase him into a building after he killed me, and have me shoot him in the back of the head.
The admin unaware of the situation freaked out, and yelled at me for "spawnkilling" and "breaking NLR" and threw me into the admin room to figure out what was going on. He ended up bringing the other guy who started to brown nose the admin by proclaiming, "he was going around spawnkilling me and killing his own police officers[his friend who we jailed]!" and the admin was close to permanently banning me before the PD Chief actually asked, "Where the hell is Officer Skylynx?" and was teleported to the room and asked for his side of the story. The PD Chief vouched for my side of the story, and the player who was trying to brown-nose started shouting "YOUR FUCKING NIGGERS, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING" the admin told him to shut the fuck up and the guy kept saying, "FUCK YOU, YOU PIECE OF SHIT, YOU SHOULD FUCKING BAN THEM FOR BEING ASSHOLES" in which the admin gagged him for two months, and banned him for a week and looked over towards us and apologized for what had happened.
Honestly though, I was so fucking close to being permanently banned from that server because some internet pedo was pissed off that we stopped him and his buddies.

Actually I joined a random half life 2 roleplay server and made a guy named Skjor Iron-Hand. Nobody had a problem with it until the admins started changing my name without asking and banning me after I remade a new guy.
Most Gmod server admins are idiots that don't know how to run a server properly (ie. keeping persistent bans.) If the server stays up long enough, it will have eventually crashed at some point and all the bans would be cleared.

Wow. Worst I've gotten as a punishment was being slayed on a TTT server.
Admin was a Traitor, and was obviously trying to get me to go with him into an area where the last Innocent couldn't see. It was blatantly obvious that he was the Traitor, so I killed him. He slayed be the next round for RDM, which was, in a sense, right, since I never saw him do anything. Still a bit stupid, when part of finding who the Traitor is involves using their actions as proof.
Oh, yeah. Next round (where I was to be slayed), I got Traitor.

We must have played on the same server then. This exact thing happened to me quite a long time ago.
(my first time playing) I saw someone throw a grenade at a group of people and run away so I gunned him down. Turns out it was a discombob, and rather then letting me explain I didn't know that it was harmless, they gimp me, grill me, and then ban me for not answering them.

Yeah, we don't slay on my server for reasons like that. We have the warnings addon for ulx, which works well on most good players, slaying just causes issues. We also allow for TTT to be played, not whatever some of these places call it. If you have evidence, and/or reasonable suspicion, you're not often punished when you're wrong. Traitors are supposed to trick you into killing innos, so why punish an inno for a traitor doing well, or the other way, a traitor giving himself away :P
I got banned for saying the SVN version of an addon was better than the workshop edition.
This was when workshop was still a massive WIP.

For mentioning the fact on a TTT server that I didn't get why the dead were allowed to !psay to live people (even though I didn't, someone else did the last round before I got banned). Minute later, perma'd for ghosting, and the actual ghoster probably got away with it. :suicide:
