• TTT server set up - renting a server

First let me start off saying that I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area and/or if there is already a similar thread with a solution to my question. If there is such a thread, please direct me to it and this thread will be left to die. Anyway, I spend more time in TTT than anything else. But the server I play on is slowly decaying. I was interested in looking into how to set a server up myself. I'm not exactly knowledgeable with coding but I'm willing to learn what is necessary to set a server up. The question is, in the simplest yet detailed manner, how would I go about making a server for TTT and rent a server rather than host it. Everything I have looked up online seems to mainly focus on hosting a server yourself. But I would rather rent a server.
Find a host that's good (there's plenty threads in this section listing good ones, many have said Elpishost) and depending on their policy, they might set up the server for you, or you'll have to yourself. It's very easy to setup and TTT server, and there's really no hassle.
Yeah I was looking at Elpishost. I've heard good things. But as far as the folders that I would have to customize (for pointshop, custom weps, maps..etc), I would still have to make that right?
Yes. Pointshop customization is VERY easy, even if you don't know lua. Setting up maps and custom weapons has been made easier with Workshop DL, but you'll still probably want a fastDL server. 1,666 posts 2spooky
Ok so here's the big question. How would I go about doing all this initially? :S
Research which hosts fits your budget and server needs, and once you found a good credible one, ask them questions about having a FastDL server and what their restrictions are. Once you've found a good host for you and your purchased an appropriate package, just start building your server. Once you've gotten a host, we can answer questions about setting up.
Thank you for the assistance ^_^
I am using Xenon Servers and i am currently very happy.
