CINEMAMODE ON MAC! LANparty is coming soon for me :WITH 300 PEOPLE: - Garry's Mod

[B]Please help me for my LANparty[/B] I started the nucleumLAN, my LANparty i started last Year. Last Year it was TF2 only, but this year i added CS:S CS:GO and Garry's Mod Everyone has mac at the party. I tried 2 days now to fix it: [U]NOW THE PROBLEM[/U] [I]Everytime i try to start a video on cinema it says FLASH WAS NOT DETECTED[/I] [B][I][U]HELP PLEASE[/U][/I][/B] or i am f*cked up... Not sure what to tell you, might be a Mac Gmod related problem. Any other of your friends get this on their macs?

All 300 got the problem.. First Year with Gmod, first Problem with Gmod

i'm having a hard time believing that your LAN of 300 people is a mac only LAN. on a related note though, i'm pretty sure that for cinema to work (in WINDOWS at least) internet explorer needs to have flash enabled.

Adobe Flash doesn't seem to work in Garry's Mod for Mac OS X anymore, sorry. Your best bet is to convince everyone to install bootcamp and Windows. :smile:

300 people? wasn't the garrys mod slot limit 127 players?

Well these people are probably spread out on multiple servers. Plus not all of them are playing the same game probably.

I made up 3 Garry´s Mod servers with 100 slots each, it took ages. [B][I][U]NOTE[/U][/I][/B]: We are in the in the so called congress center. It was planned that it was a small LAN-Party, but now. SH!T [editline]30th July 2013[/editline] I will keep u informed if we can fix it... And the results from the LAN-Party

I don't understand how you're all bringing Mac's to a LAN party. It seems unnatural. Like KFC to a PETA protest.

Since I use OS X / Mac... (except for right now) Some people say to reinstall Flash and disable Flash Player hardware acceleration. No solutions ever worked for me, but they might work for some of your 300 people. Not even the Elevator: Source TV which requires HL2EP2 works anymore, but I'm fine with that. Audio only is always cool. IN MY OPINION: You're all fucked. A better question is why you're playing Cinema in a huge LAN party. What the fuck? Suggestions: - Open Safari.app and disable hardware acceleration. 300 times. - Install Google Chrome.app. 300 times. - Uninstall Flash for OS X. 300 times. - Re-install Flash for OS X. 300 times. - Install Win7 (or other) Boot Camp 8 and Steam, Garry's Mod and Flash for Other Browsers on Windows. Uh, 300 times. I would probably play something else or something more fun especially since a lot of people won't like to watch the videos you watch alternatively get a projector and watch a movie live or put a bunch of chairs in a large dark room, give everyone popcorn and project vidya4chan.com, synchtu.be (defunct), cytube or alternative on to the wall. make sure next to no one actually sits down while watching the movie and half of them aren't looking at the screen and just running around and throwing popcorn exactly like cinema [QUOTE=darth-veger;41641525]Alternative.
