Also just a quick explanation of PERP for one of you peoples who dont know what perp is.
Explanation:
Its probably one the THE BEST roleplay servers you will find AND most realistic. DarkRP is meeeh.
But PERP is really bringing the ball down. You can do things like:
1) Buy cars, Rent cars and maybe even sell one (if your lucky)
2) Grow drugs sell em' to the dealers make a profit and your on your way.
3) Plan raids for other houses and steal drugs (Really does happen. No joke)
4) Rob someone. (got 500$ out of one guy :D)
5) Be a paramedic, Cop and fireman (Wish there was more :()
6) Buy guns from other people OR make your own guns and sell em'
7) Have skills so you can actually make guns or drugs. You can also use the stamina skill if you like to run from the cops.
8) Car bomb someone!! (Not recomended when you first join the server >.<)
9) Listen to a radio while your going 120 in your MERC and gettin' chased by the cops.
10) Customize your own house with props you buy or make.
Theres plenty more you can do, just dont feel like writing 100 things about what you can do in perp when this thread is just a simple 2 questions.
And in case you forgot, these are the questions:
1) What are they doing to the servers?
2) How long is it going to take to update the servers?

I clarify this, People used backdoor ways or whatever some way i don't know exactly stole the gamemode before, but this is an OLD version of it. Same thing happened to Gmod Racer which can be played in ExiledServers (Just a side note, Hunts said that these servers might contain "malicious software"), it was recently hacked and exploited out the ass on both servers but they fixed that and banned the players.
Also, someone took many perp accounts or something like that
Currently they are doing something to the main server box that they have. Hasn't it been like 2 weeks already?

God damn, PERP is becoming the new TnB here. Why the fuck would Facepunch, a totally separate community, know when a generic, over hyped RP server is going to get back online? And they need to fix their security if they keep going down from people getting into the servers.

I see more threads about Dark RP and Other scripts in the roleplaying section then PERP, perp has it down sides and so does Dark RP. Why post in something you are going to make someone argue about. Plus, people get god damn butt hurt when they get banned since they can't follow the damn rules that ever god damn server has.

Serious is a very good server, but lite is mingeland and i dont see a reason a roleplayer would play there. The site is back up, hunts said it probably be a few more weeks before the game servers are up. They are doing a makeover.

Actually we all got banned because we found the commands d_item <item name> <ammount> and d_tornado.
We used them to get some items and 'Silence I Kill You' went crying to BlackFur because he was in our ventrilo when we found it.
Black banned us all and that's about it for then, skip to a day or two forward and CaM the person Black hired to remove Stan's backdoor in the server that he had in their server from a file upload exploit and since Black decided to do a chargeback he leaked all their gamemodes that he had full access to during this period of time. (No one is violating a copywrite by having the gamemode)
Stan decided to do something in their box again I'm guessing and they took the box down (IT WAST MALISIOUS!!11!) and when it came back for that one day Stan uploaded a trojan to the temporary site so anyone who visited would be infected.
They took the site down for a few days then put it back up with the 'We'll be back soon!' thing, in the meanwhile bored as hell I put up a GMR server so me and my friends could play some GMR, people came in and where like oh cool GMR not hosted by furfags and shitty admins so I kept it up.
It's funny because everyone who actually played GMR and most of the VIPs dislike PE due to their nazish attitudes about trivial things, oh and the admins who cyber on vent in their private channels. (all guys)
All the gamemodes that where leaked are 100% currently up to date with the versions that where used on PE on the day that it shut down, there aren't really any exploits in GMR other than that you mught be able to spam some SQL querys by buying and selling parts on the server but it's threaded anyways and wouldn't do much.
None of us hacked anything or did anything to PERP, we just told some idiots we paid like $500 for it to happen then laughed when they flamed us and believed it.
Oh, and a side note [DU] is just a troll clan and people who wear the tag solely do it because people think they are hackers and blindly flame them/ban them or shit their pants and cry rather than see beyond a four character prefix to their name.
Basically, PE is filled with idiots who don't know their cause for hating people.

Actually, Cam was [b]NOT[/b] hired by Black - This is what Cam told Stan to troll him. Secondly, the gamemodes were leaked by Stan; he got them by creating an administrator account on our server using the file upload exploit as well as the cmd module that we use to create dua caches.

Our rules are actually rather lax, the only reason you find them "nazish" is because you can't RP worth shit and you think exploiting shouldn't be bannable. And how would you know what goes on in private vent channels? If you are resorting to slander, you need to fucking grow up.

Anyone, I think the point is shown clearly that most things you said were either wrong, ignorant, or just you being an immature shit. If you haven't noticed; no community that has hosted stolen gamemodes has succeeded; why would yours be the first?

PERP, short for Pulsar Effect RolePlay, is a massive custom RP script created by huntskikbut. It is a 100% custom RP script unlike any other and created SPECIFICALLY for the PE community, of which huntskikbit, aka "hunts" is the owner.
The RP script runs on two servers, a Lite RP script on the map EvoCity_v2 which can hold up to 50 players, not including the admin only slots, as well as a Serious RP server on the map EvoCity2_v1, capable of holding up to 40 players, not including the admin slots.
The community, Pulsar Effect, also runs a race server which has been around for a long time now called GMR, aka GMod Racer. As is PERP, GMR is 100% custom made by hunts himself and was one of his first gamemode scripts he had created. It consists of the HL2 buggies with various upgrades, weapons, and modifications users can buy to change their racing experience. Upgrades range from more horsepower to faster engines to even rockets and landmines. The gamemode even has a myriad of custom maps created by both admins and regular users alike. At one point PE had 2 GMR servers running, capable of holding 16 players each, but has since been reduced to 1 GMR server, also capable of holding 16 players.
The latest addition to the PE community prior to PERP2 was GMP, aka GMod Party, which was its own custom map with many unique mini games themed after that of the Mario Party series. It also has TF2TD, aka Team Fortress 2 Tower Defence, based after the ever popular flash game Tower Defense. TF2TD was primarily created by hunts, but Sassafrass from the Sassilization community did help out now and again with its development.
To date, PE has over 16,000 registered members with over 1,000 VIP's, 2 owners, 3 Super Admins, and 18 regular level admins. It has bloomed incredibly fast since PERP's first debut less than 1 year ago. PE itself started a year and some odd months ago with its first gamemode GMR and has since grown to enormous lengths, primarily because of it's incredibly unique RP script that is not available to the general public, like DarkRP is.
Because of recent hacking and exploitations, the servers have been down for the past several weeks for major maintenance as well as to make room for PERP2's release in mid December and the release of GMR2 which has yet to be determined. The changes between PERP and PER2 are quite substantial. Though i cannot release any specific details, i can assure all members of PE that the new gamemode will include vast amounts of improvements to encourage and enforce RP, as well as more abilities for players and such.
Keep looking forward to its release, its only a few weeks away.

What i can confirm is that PERP2 will be released in mid December. At this point i cannot specify any specific day or time as none has been set yet. The script is still heavily under construction.
