Welcome to my recruitment thread on my new DarkRP GTA 5 themed server. I'm looking for some coders who will be paid in due time, every coder will get a portion of the donations. It won't be as extensive as clockwork but it will have a lot of features from GTA 5. Buying properties and garages. I've also seen some things on CoderHire which will be very useful to the server. http://coderhire.com/browse/script/650/gta-v-hud-for-darkrp If you are interested in coding please fill out this form:
Name/Nickname: Age: Past Experiences: Known Languages:
If you are interested in administrating please fill out this form:
Name/Nickname: Age: Past Experiences: Why do you want to be an admin? What would you do if you a prop killer was on the server? Any extra information?
The server was previously a TTT server and it was quite successful, after some thinking we switched over to DarkRP as it is easier to get some donations which the server relies on. Thank you for reading.
if you are willing to pay a good amount of money upfront and then some when it's done a coder will do something for you, there won't be anything else getting done if you are gonna give a coder donations.

Once I begin getting donations I'll give the rest of the money that isn't for the monthly $24. Also I could pay someone to do it on CoderHire if I wished but I want permanent coders on my server. I pay for results, the results of his work being successful are the donations, if people like the server then they will donate.
donations are for the server not paying for work
donations are for the server not paying for work
Well, I really don't agree there, as that's like a company saying "The sales are for our store, not the employees." which makes no sense. I see nothing wrong with using donations to pay the person that does code.
Well, I really don't agree there, as that's like a company saying "The sales are for the house, not the employees." which makes no sense. I see nothing wrong with using donations to pay the person that does code.
Exactly, and I am using $24 of all donations for that month to pay for the server. The rest of the money will go to the coder.
What would you contribute to the server?
Had a GTA-ish RP server... Then the server box owner went MIA. (I think...) (Never actually got to launch the server.)
So they do all the work and you just own the server. What's so special about you that a coder would rather work for you than set themselves up? (Not being harsh, but you need something special for a coder wanting to work with you instead of them having their own community. AKA, pay upfront.)
Exactly, and I am using $24 of all donations for that month to pay for the server. All the coder does is write a few things I ask for. I will be managing the server, paying for it. They will be getting money. I've already recruited a few people and this community doesn't seem fit for the job.

Furthermore, if you've been here long enough, whichever he OP hasn't..."this" community doesnt like darkrp. Especially when it comes to modifying darkrp so the kid owners can refer to them as a different gamemode.
Seeing as GTA is pratically all sandbox chaos in the daily city life...isn't that just base DarkRP?
24$/mo server is not enough to host a gamemode like the one you want coded, you are an idiot that clearly has no idea what he wants or what he is getting into
Idiocy is different from ignorance
So, you want a gamemode that replicates a great game, and coders to make it for you with no insurance that they will get paid. You're leaching an idea and leaching resources. Even if this thread isn't just a massive joke, you still haven't outlined clearly what you need doing, aside from a phrase with no sense or meaning. Sure, everyone knows GTA, but you say "most" of the features without specifying which. If you are half serious about running a server, and aren't lying about running a server previously, you should know very well that you don't just give away admin to someone who thinks they are cut out for the job, you give it to someone you trust to make rational and timely decisions. Keep me updated on the development, jokes always make me feel good.
or i could just go play gta 5
What would you contribute to the server?
I like how this was never answered
I like how this was never answered
He did answer though
All the coder does is write a few things I ask for.
pretty obvious because managing and paying for a server takes 0 effort.
Doing a good job managing takes a fair amount of effort, but you still can't expect somebody else to make all your content for you for free.
pretty obvious because managing and paying for a server takes 0 effort.
Actually managing it properly does take effort, especially if you're the only one scripting. You do have to deal with people after all, and that's always fun.
Name/Nickname: Banhfunbags Age: 15 Past Experiences: gold member on facepunch Why do you want to be an admin? because i will do a good job and never abuse my power What would you do if you a prop killer was on the server? i will ban them Any extra information? no
Actually managing it properly does take effort, especially if you're the only one scripting. You do have to deal with people after all, and that's always fun.
By managing, what is implied? Keeping people in line? I'd just appoint people admins, I've never had difficulty with finding good admins, because if they fuck up then they'll just get perma'd, and generally admins are friends. Compared to actually coding, managing takes little skill, and is just time consuming, compared to actually knowing coding.
