Two player online, without joining a server?

Here's the dealio. Me and my friend both have garry's mod and almost identical addons. We live on different sides of the neighborhood and want to play in the same game together.

But we want to be able to use all of our addons, many of which are scarcely used in any online servers.

Basically, is there a way to create a game in which only we can play in?
