Hey im going to start up my own gmod server very soon and its going to be an RP but I would like to do alot of changes and coding. I will make the website but I don't know much about coding. (I will learn in time, but for now Im kind of new) I Need People that can modify Lua files and edit maps and will be Admins. So if you have experience I would love you to be part of my team. I don't know crap about coding, but I COULD make a lot of suggestions for the server (in-game items, classes, weapons we can get, etc, etc) If I ever find out how to make classes, I could make some for the server. I already have an idea.
Security Guard. (limited to 15)
Model: can choose between Combine Prison Guard, or Shotgunner Prison Guard (the one with red eyes).
Weapons: Stunstick, Glock.
Job Description: They wander around, seeking employment, they guard a shop, and help in case the shop get's raided, and charge up to 1k in RP days. Can also protect the mayor, and get up to 2k for protecting mayor
Bounty Hunter
Model: can choose between Combine Soldier, or shotgunner soldier (one with red eyes)
Weapons: Arrest Stick, Five-Seven
Job Description: If anyone is wanted, they can use their arrest stick on the wanted person, and get 2.5k every person they catch. But to fool people into losing their guard against the bounty hunter, bounty hunters can disguise as any job they want. (I have seen the disguise technique used on the d3vine rp server, for hitmen, so I know it's possible)
Terrorrist (VIP class limited to 5)
Model: CS:S Terrorist; Pheonix Connection (ski mask, and flak jacket)
Weapons: Jihad Bomb (down loadable at Gmod.org, it's a suicide bomb) and Desert Deagle.
Description: Terrorists always find a way to cause chaos, whether it's suicide bombing themself in a store, or by Nexus (or PD) entrance, or shooting up a place, Terrorists are the only kind that can RDM, but they can't abuse it, they must have a real RP reason to do it, and must do it once in awhile, not every 2 seconds after they spawn. This class can raid nexus/PD
Counter-terrorist (VIP class limited to 10)
Model: CS:S CT SAS (gasmask)
Weapons: M16, Flashbang, Five-Seven.
Description: The CTs are only called during real bad situations, like a terrorist shooting up a place, raids, or the gangsters, and mob bosses raiding nexus/PD. When not putting bullet-holes into terrorists, they usually sit up on the roof, looking down at the city from below.
These are only a few that I have in my head. I Have a lot more to suggest.
The Reason that the terrorist and CT are VIP+ is because way too many trolls would just go terrorist, and use it to RDM, we want to keep it to a minimum, so people won't be shooting up places, and blowing up stuff. For CT, it just makes sense, as the only class more elite than this will be admin police.

Anyway If you would like to be part of the community that I am putting together and get admin and stuff all you have to do is go to my site (not yet finished) And Submit a respected App. Once you are accepted (IF) then you can take a simple test to get admin. The test will be on my server and what to do in admin situations. *The rules will be posted on my site and I suggest reading them before you take the test* And for the guy that says he has job ideas. Well we dont need a bounty hunter because we already have a hitman. We dont need Terrist because we already have red and blue(Will change name) gangsters which act like that. And as the counter terrist we already have swat which does alot of what your desc. says. Thanks for the efforts. I will have NO classes only avalilable to V.I.P., Respected, Admin. I will in the future make my own class but that WAYYY in the future. Oh and we also have a Class thats like the body guard I think. Even if we dont there not needed as they fail in RP as ive seen on other servers. Btw when coming up with classes note this server will have 16 slots. So making 1 class have 15 people in it will DEFINITLY ruin RP.

Ok one. Have you ever gone on your shit server? I have NO ONE IS ON IT! And all the classes I have are very useful to rp. Hitman= want someones job? I could demote him for no reason.(like your shit rp) or i could set a hit and get his job.
and two. gangsters are fucking helpful and as i added 2 gangster classes it will let them kill eachother and leave others alone (alot like real life) clips and bloods dumbass.
Third. i am tired of shit cops that 10+ die to one guy with an ak47 becuase they have pistols. SOO I will make 3 people be able to be swat (leader+2 normals) which have ACTUAL guns. And can take down these people.
So before you disrespect people fix your own damn server.

Well, I can see where you're bringing the server to.
Your not aiming for Serious Serious roleplayers, like the 19 year old kids who play PeRP and OpenAura, which is fine.
You just select a different target audience.
About your jobs though, it is looking a bit like a Deathmatch, with a twist of Roleplay, like being sold guns, and being able to base up with your friends. Typical for DarkRP, that's my honest opinion.
AFAIK, these get popular, but get ddos'd, and die out within months, just for other servers to take their place.

Ok mine isnt a DM server and wont become one. I have gangs, but they mainly murder eachother... (like real life) Also Guns in my server are very expensive (like real life) Soo the fact that i have swat means that people with alot of printers and a good base cant get away with it just because he bought an ak. And only 3 people will be swat at any given time.

How the hell will a Hitman RDM? First off, he doesn't start with a gun like most servers, and he's not allowed to choose his own targets. If he does, he will get kicked.

I am going to post as much as I want to. My server is much better, there is no RDM. You don't run around with a gun and DM like an idiot. Do people get shot when they "piss someone off" or have a good job? No. I don't give a fuck how much ammo costs, if there are hitmen, it will be sucky no matter what.
I am trying to help you here, but you obviously have no intention of making it better. Your server is going to be horrible. If someone dies in your server it would just be RDM.
Give it up, it will be a shitty server full of DM, enjoyed only by immature 12 year olds and trolls.
I'm a mapper, may consider doing your maps for you, depending on the sizes of maps you want it may cost you, as all good custom maps will.
